Public Alert: Beware of Fabricated Reports and Malicious Disinformation

The Communications Directorate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP-USA) wishes to alert all members, sympathizers, and the general public to a calculated campaign of disinformation being propagated by operatives aligned with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). These actors are deliberately twisting facts to undermine the internal review processes of our great party.

As is standard practice in all credible political institutions, the NPP established a Fact-Finding and Evaluation Committee chaired by the venerable Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye to assess our performance in the 2024 General Elections. The committee has since completed its mandate and submitted its report to the appropriate party organs—specifically, the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the National Council (NC). This report remains an internal party document, intended solely to inform strategic planning and reforms.

Regrettably, intelligence at our disposal reveals that elements affiliated with the NDC have begun circulating doctored or entirely fake documents, claiming to be the “Oquaye Report.” These falsified versions contain fabricated conclusions and baseless accusations directed at key party figures, including - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Members of the Council of Elders and former Government Appointees.

Their objective is clear: sow confusion, ignite internal conflict, and pressure the party into prematurely disclosing sensitive deliberations. These actions are not only unethical—they are desperate political tactics designed to fracture our unity.

We urge all party faithful and well-meaning Ghanaians to treat any such document circulating online or in the media as inauthentic, unless it has been officially released by the National Secretariat of the NPP.

Let us not be distracted by this noise. These are not analysts—they are political scavengers scavenging for relevance through lies. As the adage goes, “When the enemy cannot find a door, he will attempt to break a window.”

Let us stay focused, united, and resolute in our commitment to the continued renewal and forward march of the New Patriotic Party.
