Who we are
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a centre-right and liberal conservative party in Ghana with the symbol of an African elephant.
NPP's policy is to liberate the energies of the people for the growth of a property-owning democracy, with right to life, freedom and justice, as the principles to which the Government and laws of the land should be dedicated in order specifically to enrich life, property and liberty of each and every citizen of Ghana.

The Atlanta Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP-USA) successfully hosted a virtual Presidential Aspirants’ Forum on Saturday, November 16, 2025, giving party members and supporters a chance to hear directly from representatives of the candidates vying to lead the party into the 2028 elections.

Following the party's significant electoral defeat in the 2024 general elections, we appear weakened.

We wish to issue this rejoinder to address key inaccuracies, reaffirm our official communication structures, and reinforce our collective commitment to party unity and constitutional compliance.

The NPP-USA acknowledges the release of journalist Okatakyie Afrifa, who was unjustly detained by Mahama’s National Security operatives for simply exercising his constitutional right to free speech. While we welcome his release, his arrest sends a chilling message—under Mahama, no critic is safe. His government is willing to go to extreme lengths to silence dissenting voices.
