As part of the 26th National Delegates Conference of NPP slated for Saturday, July 7th, 2018 in Koforidua and its attendant elections to elect national executives to lead the party in the next four years is here again. NPP-USA Branch will conduct its internal poll to determine who majority of our members would want to lead the party going forward. This poll taking is based on NPP-USA long held stands and belief in the principle of One Member One Vote dubbed “OMOV”.
NPP-USA conducts this internal polling exercise for all its eligible voting members to determine who our delegates votes must go to during the July 7, 2018 conference. NPP-USA have twelve (12) delegate votes in total at the said Conference; therefore, the need to conduct polls to determine who wins all our 12 delegate votes for all the contesting positions.
The branch through this process, is reaffirming our commitment and belief that elections belong to the people and it’s their decision. The candidate with the most votes in the conduct of the polls shall win all twelve (12) votes allocated to NPP-USA during the conference.
In view of this, The Election & Research directorate will be conducting this exercise. The voting exercise shall be conducted online. Please take note of the below;
- The guidelines and requirements for a qualified voter for the NPP-USA branch elections will be applied to this exercise. The voters list will be the same as the one used to conduct NPP-USA branch elections.
- Voting will be opened for a period of 48hrs: Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 at 12:00am EST – Friday, July 6th, 2018 at 11:59pm EST.
- A unique Voter ID and Voter Key will be emailed to all qualified voters on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 at 12:00am EST.
The Elections & Research directorate shall release the results on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 for our own internal usage. The results shall be communicated to all our 12 delegates on the grounds in Ghana to enable them to cast the vote for and on behalf of us.
