The attention of the New Patriotic Party – USA Branch (NPP-USA Branch) has been drawn to a statement dated May 26, 2025, issued under the banner of Team Ken USA – North America, which purports to speak on behalf of a so-called "NPP USA Chapter" in response to comments made by Mr. James Owusu, First Vice Chairman of the NPP-USA Branch. We wish to issue this rejoinder to address key inaccuracies, reaffirm our official communication structures, and reinforce our collective commitment to party unity and constitutional compliance.

This Easter, the New Patriotic Party-USA extends warm and heartfelt greetings to all Ghanaians, both at home and in the diaspora. As we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are reminded that even in the depths of despair, hope endures—and from every grave, new life can rise.

The NPP-USA acknowledges the release of journalist Okatakyie Afrifa, who was unjustly detained by Mahama’s National Security operatives for simply exercising his constitutional right to free speech. While we welcome his release, his arrest sends a chilling message—under Mahama, no critic is safe. His government is willing to go to extreme lengths to silence dissenting voices.
