The New Patriotic Party (NPP) stands at a crucial crossroads, much like the traveler in Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken.” The decisions we make today will significantly shape our collective future we all anticipate and hope for and if care is not taken by all and sundry, that future will elude us all. Following the party's significant electoral defeat in the 2024 general elections, we appear weakened.

We wish to issue this rejoinder to address key inaccuracies, reaffirm our official communication structures, and reinforce our collective commitment to party unity and constitutional compliance.

The NPP-USA acknowledges the release of journalist Okatakyie Afrifa, who was unjustly detained by Mahama’s National Security operatives for simply exercising his constitutional right to free speech. While we welcome his release, his arrest sends a chilling message—under Mahama, no critic is safe. His government is willing to go to extreme lengths to silence dissenting voices.

A careful review of the facts, as documented in the official correspondence between Mr. Ofori-Atta, the Chief of Staff, and the OSP, makes it abundantly clear that he is not evading justice but is undergoing legitimate medical treatment in the United States.

In his latest attempt to seek attention, Taylor alleges he possesses a list of undocumented NPP-USA members, which he intends to report to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
